Industrial

I came across this warehouse from Archdaily
It is such an incredible space to play around with. Endless possibilities how to arrange your furniture due to the semi open plan layout.

I love industrial lofts as they have such huge windows allowing an abundance of light in, and they are semi open planned which is great if there is just the two of you or when you entertain.

Having just moved to Portland the choice of homes were between a city high rise, a house complete with porch, garden and basement (which felt a little 'settled' for us) or what we opted for which is a loft apartment not unlike the one pictured. We love it. It's perfect for our stage in life. No kids mean a balcony is just fine. A great open layout for dinner parties with friends and concrete floors to mop up those wine spills away.

My project is to incorporate my love of provencial style cottage furnishings in with this hard edged warehouse loft apartment.
Purchase no. 1 was an incredible salvaged steel roller table at the Brooklyn flea market in Fort Greene, NY designed by Jesse Hooker at Hooker Designs

Guests always comment on how much they like the table!
